Welcome to Motueka Camera Club

The primary aims of the Motueka Camera Club are to stimulate interest in the art and practice of photography; to offer members knowledge and practice in the capture and preparation of images for local and national competitions; to provide opportunities in developing photo editing and image evaluation skills.

We meet in the Motueka Public Library, 32 Wallace Street, Motueka at 7.30 pm, 1st Monday of each month except Jan.  All are most welcome to attend!

Treasure Trove – 6/12/21

The December meeting is “Treasure Trove”. For this, each member brings a print of an image that has never been seen before (‘Open’ subject). Everyone gets a voting slip to vote for their favourite print.
We will also be choosing “Viewer’s Choice of the Year” from each month’s favourite image from the past year. If able, please bring a plate of finger food to share. This is a fun & relaxed evening to wind up the year.

Christmas Party 2021 – Venue Ideas Needed

We have been doing this as a combined event with the Nelson club for many years now, but Covid 2 restrictions meant there would be very limited opportunities for socialising if we went to a restaurant. We would still very much like to have a Club Christmas party (for our club only), but need to find a suitable venue, such as a club members house/ garden or a local park or reserve for a pot-luck picnic/barbeque…If anyone is able to offer their place or suggest a venue, please get in touch with someone on the committee e.g Craig 027 7537097 or Kim 027 7144894 (unlikely to get hold of either – pls send a txt. or email if no answer).

Christmas Party

The Christmas party at the Sprig and Fern has been cancelled due to the restrictions. We will arrange one of our own instead maybe at someone’s home.
